About The Wine
Inside the Bottle: The problem with this wine is that its hard to keep in stock. Isle Saint Pierre makes many good wines for the price, but we put all of our stock in this wine because it is so friendly, pure and enjoyable for the price. Due to its geographical location in France, the blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot give this wine plenty of spring and freshness straight out of the glass. Unlike Bordeaux, the home of these varieties, this is high-toned with bright red and purple fruits, persian mulberry, flowers and fresh herbs of Provence. Deeper in the glass, middle eastern spices, licorice, nutmeg and black fruit sit lightly on the palate. These guys have really found a great complexity within this cheap and cheerful wine. It won't change your life, but it offers great simple pleasure when you need a glass of red wine without too much to think about.
